Strepitoso successo per la Santa Sofia Volley ai danni del Ribera Volley, squadra che occupa il secondo posto in classifica e che annovera tra le sue fila fior di giocatrici che hanno calcato parquet di categorie nettamente superiori. Da elogiare la schiacciatrice Anna Presti, giocatrice che ha militato per parecchi anni in B2 vincendo diversi campionati e che fino a quando e’ rimasta in campo ha fatto la differenza anche se le atlete licatesi (Chiara Mugnos e Martina Castrogiovanni) in diverse occasioni sono riuscite a murarla con grande soddisfazione. Le ragazze di coach Arnone sono da elogiare in blocco per l’impresa fatta. Le riberesi avevano subito infatti l’unica sconfitta contro la prima della classe (lo Sciacca) nel girone di andata e la prossima settimana si re-incontreranno per il ritorno. Il punteggio finale e’ stato di 3 a 2, con i seguenti parziali (20/25-27/25-16/25-25/19-15/8). Una nota di merito particolare va fatta ai due martelli Mugnos e Castrogiovanni che sia nei muri che negli attacchi sono riuscite ad annichilire le riberesi che non si aspettavano di trovare una squadra così coesa e ben amalgamata dal tecnico Arnone. Mercoledì si recupererà la gara a Canicattì alle ore 21 che le ragazze licatesi prepareranno già dal prossimo allenamento, che potrebbe definire e stabilire chi sarà la quinta della classifica generale. La società comunica che, oltre a Marta Russello, è stata convocata per la rappresentativa provinciale che parteciperà al torneo delle province che si svolgerà a Palermo il 30 aprile e primo maggio anche Silvia Buscemi giovane atleta del 2002 del vivaio licatese.
