Si terrà venerdì con inizio alle ore 20 al teatro “Re Grillo” la presentazione del libro del licatese Nicolò Licata “Angelo da Gerusalemme” edito per i tipi della casa AB Editore. “Si tratta di un romanzo che parla della vita di Sant’Angelo – sono le parole dell’autore – E’ un distillato della vita del Santo protettore della nostra città. Sant’Angelo Martire è molto conosciuto anche al Nord Italia e all’estero. Tutto questo mi ha spinto a voler sensibilizzare i licatesi scrivendo un romanzo su Sant’Angelo ambientando la storia in una immaginaria Licata del 1220”. Il romanzo vuole essere una riflessione sulla straordinaria opera del frate carmelitano di nome Angelo, vissuto tra il 1185 e il 5 maggio 1220 che è il patrono della città di Licata. Il Santo, nato a Gerusalemme, termina la sua opera di evangelizzazione subendo il martirio nella città di Licata, per mano di alcuni sicari mandati da un despota locale accusato dal frate d’aver mantenuto una condotta incestuosa con la propria sorella. I proventi della vendita del libro saranno devoluti in beneficenza.
