Grave incidente autonomo nella mattinata di domenica. Un giovane licatese (classe 1992) era impegnato nel dar fuoco ad alcune sterpaglie secche all’interno di un terreno di sua proprietà quando gli sarebbe sfuggita di mano la situazione. Il giovane, nel tentativo di dar fuoco agli arbusti secchi, avrebbe usato anche del liquido infiammabile (probabilmente benzina) con un conseguente peggioramento della situazione. Giunto al Pronto soccorso della struttura sanitaria di Contrada Cannavecchia, la situazione è apparsa subito particolarmente pesante. Varie le parti del corpo aggredite dalle fiamme. Le ustioni avrebbero interessato il volto, le braccia e buona parte del tronco dello sfortunato giovane. Dopo un consulto medico e le prime cure del caso, i sanitari in servizio per il turno domenicale presso il nosocomio licatese ne hanno disposto l’immediato trasferimento all’ospedale Civico di Palermo dove il ventiduenne licatese è stato ricoverato all’interno dell’unità operativa Grandi ustioni di cui è dotata la struttura sanitaria del capoluogo.
