Va in archivio la dodicesima edizione del Torneo delle Province, la sesta ospitata a Licata e organizzata in maniera impeccabile dalla Cestistica Licata diretta dal presidente Peppe Lanzerotti. A beneficiare della manifestazione di minibasket sono state anche le strutture ricettive cittadine che hanno accolto un gran numero di persone arrivate in comitiva con gli atleti. Sul piano tecnico ad imporsi è stata la provincia di Palermo che ha avuto la meglio in finale su Ragusa al termine di un match chiuso sul 47 – 36. Sul podio anche la selezione di Agrigento che nella finale per il 3° e 4° posto ha avuto la meglio di Caltanissetta 51 – 36. Quinto e sesto posto poi per Trapani e Siracusa. A fine manifestazione è stato premiato anche il miglior quintetto composto da Alberto Iacona di Agrigento, Marco Bagnasco di Palermo, Giulio Di Natale di Ragusa, Vincenzo Modica di Trapani e Alessio Gumina di Caltanissetta. Il premio fair-play è andato a Lorenzo Filingeri di Palermo. Peppe Lanzerotti ci ha poi tenuto a ringraziare l’amministrazione che non ha fatto mancare il proprio apporto.
