Lunedì, 26 novembre 2012, alle ore 17,30, presso la sala convegni del Convento del Carmine a cura dell’Amministrazione comunale – assessorato alla cultura – verrà presentato il libro sui cristiani e la Primavera Araba “2011. L’anno che ha sconvolto il Medio Oriente”, della giornalista professionista free lance Manuela Borraccino. Dopo i saluti iniziali del sindaco Angelo Graci, che per l’occasione ha invitato il neo console tunisino a Palermo, Farhat Ben Soussi, interverranno l’autrice Manuela Borraccino, l’assessore alla cultura, Patrizia Urso, e don Vincenzo Lombino, della Curia Vescovile di Agrigento. “Il libro che presenteremo lunedì pomeriggio – dichiara l’assessore Urso – racconta la Primavera Araba dal punto di vista delle minoranze cristiane del Medio Oriente, secondo le prospettive, geografica in quanto i Paesi coinvolti sono vicinissimi alla nostra terra, antropologica in quanto si pone una lente di ingrandimento sulla condizione che vivono le comunità cristiane in contesto islamico”.
