Prosegue l’attività di vigilanza e controllo da parte degli uomini della Guardia Costiera di Licata agli ordini del Tenente di Vascello, Alessandro Ferruccio Grassia. Nella notte tra il 15 e il 16 luglio, nel corso di un’attività di pattugliamento e controllo all’interno della darsena di Marianello, personale della Guardia Costiera in borghese ha constatato che un catanese di 40 anni circa aveva catturato oltre 4000 esemplari di ricci di mare avvalendosi dell’ausilio di bombole subacquee. Il limite previsto non può superare la cattura di cinquanta esemplari. Il trasgressore è stato accompagnato in Capitaneria dove gli è stato elevato un verbale di 4000 euro oltre al sequestro del prodotto ittico e degli attrezzi utilizzati per la cattura. I ricci sono stati nuovamente rimessi in mare.
