Torna dopo tanti anni il volley maschile a Licata. Infatti l’idea nata lo scorso inverno adesso è diventata realtà. La SSD Santa Sofia oltre alla squadra femminile di pallavolo, che lo scorso anno ha ottenuto buoni risultati nonostante la poca esperienza, ha iscritto al campionato di Prima Divisione anche il Team maschile. Tutto è stato reso possibile anche grazie al contributo di alcuni membri della squadra stessa che auto-tassandosi hanno trasformato un’idea in realtà. La compagine licatese sarà guidata da Dino Arnone anche coach della femminile, il quale cercherà di ottenere gli stessi dignitosi risultati conseguiti la scorsa stagione. Il team è formato oltre che da alcuni veterani del volley licatese, Salvatore Greco, Gaetano Callea e i Gemelli Russo, anche da alcuni ragazzi giovani, Salvo Bugiada, Cilluffo Giuseppe, Alessandro Buoncuore, Rosario Volpe, i fratelli Montalbano Luca e Marco completando così una rosa all’interno della quale ci sono anche Cellura Angelo, Riccobene Angelo, Francesco Pontillo e Militello Vincenzo. Il primo appuntamento della stagione sarà domenica 16 novembre alle ore 10 presso la palestra dell’istituto Enrico Fermi in occasione di un’amichevole contro il San Biagio Platani.
