Il consigliere comunale Giuseppe Ripellino, con nota prot. n° 39501 di oggi, indirizzata al Sindaco e per conoscenza al Presidente del Civico consesso, ha presentato un’interrogazione, con richiesta di risposta scritta e verbale, per conoscere i motivi che hanno indotto il primo cittadino a disporre la rimozione del drappo che era stato allocato il 3 aprile scorso all’esterno del Palazzo di Città, in segno di solidarietà ai due militari della Marina Militare Italiana, Massimiliano La Torre e Salvatore Girone, “illegittimamente detenuti in India – si legge, tra l’altro, testualmente nel documento – per fatti per i quali è dubbio che possa essere attribuita la responsabilità anche alla luce dell’inchiesta portata avanti dalle autorità indiane”. Il drappo era stato allocato previa autorizzazione del Sindaco uscente, alla pari di quanto accaduto in moltissimi altri Comuni d’Italia, in segno di solidarietà verso i due marò.
