L’attenzione dello sport palmese è oggi rivolta a Londra e a Laigueglia (SV). Nella capitale inglese si sta svolgendo, infatti, la tradizionale e prestigiosa maratona, mentre la cittadina ligure sta ospitando la coppa Italia giovanissimi di Mountain Bike. In entrambe le manifestazioni sportive Palma sarà rappresentata: a Londra da Lillo Inguanta, unico siciliano qualificatosi; nella coppa Italia MTB da Giuseppe Greco.
Iscritto all’Associazione sportiva Valle dei Templi, architetto nella vita, Inguanta coltiva da anni la passione per l’atletica leggera, che lo ha portato a partecipare a diverse gare, l’ultima delle quali la Stramilano.
Greco, che lo scorso anno ha vinto il campionato regionale di categoria e che in questa stagione si è imposto nelle gare di Butera, Chiaramonte Gulfi (Rg) e Falcone (Me), ha 13 anni e frequenta la terza media.
Al di la del risultato, la vittoria, per i due atleti palmesi, sarà data dall’impegno profuso che, ne siamo certi, non mancherà.
