Gli assessori comunali Angelo Sambito e Giusy Marotta, in rappresentanza dell’esecutivo, e il Presidente del Consiglio comunale, Saverio Platamone, nel pomeriggio di lunedì, al Palazzo di Città, hanno ricevuto una nutrita delegazione composta dal 18 sindaci tedeschi della provincia di Darmstadt – Dieburg, capeggiata dal sindaco di Reinehim (città gemellata con Licata) Karl Hartmann. Nel corso dell’incontro, al quale ha partecipato anche una rappresentanza dell’Associazione Pro Gemellaggio di Licata, presieduta da Giovanni Peritore, i presenti hanno concordato di avviare una serie di iniziative per sviluppare rapporti di amicizia e culturali, e l’amministrazione comunale si è anche impegnata a partecipare alla prossima fiera dell’agricoltura che si terrà a Reinheim , nei primi di giugno, in occasione della quale l’Amministrazione comunale organizzerà una degustazione di prodotti agricoli licatesi. Ad ogni ospite il Presidente del consiglio comunale ha donato una libro sulla celebrazione del Venerdì Santo ed offerto un rinfresco.
