Anticipo fortunato per la Studentesca Licata che piega in trasferta il Cus Catania (70 – 78) e consolida la quinta posizione in classifica. Partita nervosa quella disputata alla Cittadella universitaria con i gialloblu del duo Castorina-Provenzani che sono stati bravi a gestire uomini ed energie in una situazione ancora di emergenza. Gara difficile e fin da subito in salita per la Studentesca Licata che solo nel terzo quarto è riuscita a mettere avanti la testa e a mantenere poi il vantaggio fino alla fine arrivando anche a toccare il massimo vantaggio di quindici punti. All’intervallo lungo, le due squadre rientrano negli spogliatoi praticamente in parità (33 – 32 per i padroni di casa). Studentesca Licata che anche questa volta è stata costretta a fare i conti con le assenze che hanno limitato numericamente il roster. Nel secondo quarto i due tecnici licatesi hanno dovuto rinunciare anche al play gelese Sergio Abela, costretto ad arrendersi per il riacutizzarsi del problema alla caviglia che lo aveva già messo ko una settimana fa contro Gravina. Buona l’entrata in partita di Ivan Milite che si è fatto trovare pronto sostituendo bene Abela.
