Tutto confermato a Palazzo di Città, in merito alla programmata visita della Sesta Commissione Sanità, istituita presso l’Ars, all’ospedale San Giacomo d’Altopasso, dove, oltre ai vertici sanitari, incontrerà il Sindaco, Angelo Balsamo, e il Presidente del Consiglio comunale, Saverio Platamone, per esaminare le problematiche relative alla ventilata ipotesi di soppressione del punto nascite del nosocomio licatese. L’incontro, fortemente voluto dall’Amministrazione comunale, si terrà presso il salone delle assemblee ubicato al primo piano del San Giacomo d’Altopasso e avrà inizio alle ore 10,30. La riunione è particolarmente attesa non solo dai competenti organi istituzionali e dalla cittadinanza che, in massa ha partecipato alla fiaccolata di mercoledì scorso, ma anche dai rappresentanti dei vicini comuni di Campobello di Licata, Mazzarino, Palma di Montechiaro e Riesi i cui abitanti usufruiscono dei servizi offerti dal nosocomio licatese ed in particolar modo dal reparto di ginecologia ed ostetricia.
