Si chiude con una brillante vittoria la stagione sportiva del Centro Minibasket della Cestistica Licata.I giovanissimi atleti della categoria Aquilotti (2001/2002), accompagnati dagli istruttori nazionali Peppe Lanzerotti e Peppe Lombardo, si sono aggiudicati infatti la settima edizione del memorial “Giannunzio Mandarà” che si è svolto a Santa Croce Camerina mercoledì 6 giugno.Ben otto le squadre ai nastri di partenza divise in due gironi. Nel proprio girone i giovani gialloblù, hanno vinto tutte e tre le partite in programma battendo nell’ordine la Vigor Santa Croce (30 – 2), la Studentesca Gela (24 – 10) e il Basket Vittoria (28 – 4). Nell’altro girone il Basket Comiso 2010 ha invece avuto la meglio sul Basket Gela, sull’Olimpia Comiso e sulla Vigor Vittoria. Nella finalissima gli aquilotti licatesi si sono imposti sul Basket Comiso 2010 per 16 a 8 in una gara che hanno sempre controllato centrando pertanto questa prestigiosa affermazione. Alla fine, in un clima di grande sportività ed armonia tra le varie compagini, premiazione per tutti i bambini partecipanti alla manifestazione. Questi i bambini licatesi che hanno partecipato al torneo : Alberto Iacona, Dario Licata, Giuseppe Fili’, Lorenzo Burgio, Franco Licata D’Andrea, Daniele Munda, Meggy Cicatello, Angelo Tabbi, Angelo Licata, Naike Bona e Andrea Pira. Si chiude con questo torneo l’attività 2011/2012 per il Centro Minibasket Cestistica Licata che dà appuntamento per la prossima stagione a metà settembre quando si riapriranno le iscrizioni per ricominciare il primo di ottobre con le lezioni.
