La tradizionale “scinnuta” della Madonna Addolorata della Chiesa di Sant’Agostino apre i riti della Settimana Santa. Domani Maria Addolorata sarà in processione per le vie della città e nel primo pomeriggio rientrerà in Chiesa Madre. Domenica nuova processione con il ritorno a Sant’Agostino. Successivamente sarà la volta del Cristo Flagellato condotto per le vie del centro dalla Confraternità della Carità. Quindi, sempre in rigoroso ordine cronologico, si arriverà al Giovedì Santo con la processione notturna dalla Chiesa di San Girolamo al Palazzo La Lumia del Cristo coperto col drappo blu. Il Venerdì Santo, la Passione di Cristo con l’uscita del Crocifero alle 13 dalla Chiesa di San Girolamo, la Giunta in Piazza Progresso intorno alle ore 15, l’entrata al Palazzo La Lumia prima dell’arrivo al calvario e della Crocifissione. La sera, l’urna trasporterà Gesù dal Calvario alla Chiesa di San Girolamo. Domenica la conclusione dei riti della Settimana Santa con la processione del Cristo risorto ad opera della Confraternita del Santissimo Salvatore.
