È in programma venerdì 15 marzo l’apertura della mostra fotografica ed iconografica sulla Settimana Santa a Licata “Imago Passionis“, allestita presso il Chiostro San Francesco fino al 24 marzo. La mostra, divenuta da alcuni anni un atteso evento culturale, è organizzata dalla Pro Loco di Licata e dal gruppo culturale della Chiesa Madre, con il patrocinio dell’AICIS (Associazione Italiana Cultori Immaginette Sacre) e del Comune di Licata. La mostra, che si pone come anticipo ai riti della Settimana Santa che si svolgeranno l’ultima settimana di marzo, sarà quest’anno ricca di novità e di manifestazioni collaterali che verranno comunicate presto. Il percorso espositivo comprenderà una vasta serie di foto d’epoca e a colori, antichi santini, vari oggetti tradizionali relativi alla Settimana Santa di Licata, i cui riti e le processioni sono da sempre particolarmente sentiti e partecipati dalla popolazione. La mostra ha anche come obiettivo di far conoscere le tradizioni di Licata, come richiamo turistico, religioso e culturale.
