Dal primo ottobre non verranno rinnovati i contratti ai commissari straordinari delle varie società d’ambito che gestiscono i rifiuti con il servizio che dovrebbe pertanto passare appannaggio dei Comuni ed essere gestito direttamente dai sindaci. L’annuncio è stato dato dall’assessorato regionale ai Rifiuti. Ma i primi cittadini sono pronti a gestire in proprio la gestione dei rifiuti? E cosa succederà ai lavoratori delle varie società d’ambito territoriale? “Giovedì è arrivata una direttiva del dirigente generale del Dipartimento Rifiuti a firma del dottore Marco Lupo – afferma il liquidatore di Dedalo Ambiente Rosario Miceli – che specifica come dal primo ottobre gli incarichi dei commissari non saranno più rinnovati e quindi la gestione passerà direttamente nelle mani dei sindaci”. A regnare attualmente è però la confusione, soprattutto a livello di competenze visto che non sono state ancora attivate le Società di regolamentazione dei rifiuti (Srr). Qualcosa si è comunque già mossa e si cerca ovviamente di correre ai ripari per trovare una soluzione. Ad interessarsi sono naturalmente anche i sindaci “alcuni dei quali – continua Miceli – mi hanno già chiesto di convocare un’assemblea dei soci per capire come sarà questa nuova gestione”.
