I Carabinieri del Nucleo Operativo e Radiomobile di Canicattì, nel corso di predisposti servizi, in contrada “Cazzola” agro di Canicattì, presso uno dei cantieri dei lavori di realizzazione del raddoppio della Strada Statale n. 640, in piena notte, dopo un breve ma concitato inseguimento, hanno sorpreso due persone che poco prima avevano asportato da alcuni mezzi parcheggiati nel sito due fustoni di complessivi litri mille di gasolio ed alcune batterie, per un valore complessivo di circa 1.000 euro. La refurtiva è stata restituita all’avente diritto, mentre il mezzo con cui i due soggetti viaggiavano, è stato sottoposto a sequestro. Gli arrestati, Filippo Russotto, 38enne e Santo Perricone, 22enne, entrambi di Favara, dopo le preliminari formalità di rito nella caserma dei Carabinieri di Canicattì, sono stati accompagnati presso le rispettive abitazioni, dove dovranno permanere in regime di arresti domiciliari.
