Nel corso della mattinata due rumeni sono stati sottoposti a fermo dai Carabinieri di Campobello di Licata a seguito di predisposto servizio finalizzato a prevenire e reprimere la commissione di furti di cavi di rame. Si tratta di Martinescu Cristian Daniel, 22enne e Muraru Cristian, 24enne, entrambi rumeni residenti nella stessa Campobello di Licata. L’ipotesi di reato avanzata dai Carabinieri a carico dei due è di ricettazione in concorso, per essere stati sorpresi in quella località “Principe” in possesso di 260 chilogrammi di condutture in rame risultati provento di furto. Alla vista dei militari, Martinescu e Muraru si davano a precipitosa fuga per le campagne circostanti venendo però prontamente bloccati dai Carabinieri dopo un breve ma concitato inseguimento. I fermati, espletate le preliminari formalità di rito in caserma, sono stati associati alla Casa circondariale di Agrigento, a disposizione della competente Autorità Giudiziaria.
