La Figh (Federazione Italiana Giuoco Handball) ha varato i calendari dei campionati di Serie A2 Femminile. Tre i gironi in cui sono state suddivise le diciotto squadre partecipanti: il girone A composto da sette squadre con formula di andata, ritorno e fase a orologio, il girone B composto da sei squadre e il girone C (dove è inserita la Guidotto Geaplast Licata) formato da cinque squadre, entrambi con gare di doppia andata e doppio ritorno. Data d’apertura della stagione, è il 12 ottobre per il girone A, il 19 ottobre per i gironi C e B. La Guidotto Licata del presidente Armando Tabone è stata accoppiata al Messana, all’Hybla Mayor Avola, al Gruppo Principe Badolato e allo Sport Club Sicilia di San Giovanni La Punta. Si tratta del girone con il minor numero di squadre in gara, segno inequivocabile della crisi economica con cui si trovano a dover fare i conti le società isolane. Anche quest’anno si tratterà di sodalizi dall’età media molto giovane e anche la Guidotto Licata non dovrebbe fare eccezione. Sulla panchina gialloblu dovrebbe essere confermata Katharina Tothova che l’anno scorso, alla prima esperienza in panchina, portò la Guidotto alla disputa dei play-off promozione. L’esordio delle ragazze del presidente Tabone sarà casalingo. Il 19 ottobre al PalaFragapane è atteso infatti San Giovanni La Punta che inaugurerà il torneo della Guidotto. Prima trasferta stagionale a Messina il prossimo 2 novembre dopo aver osservato il turno di riposo previsto per la seconda giornata.
