In occasione del voto del prossimo 17 aprile, il coordinamento referendario ha organizzato per domenica 10 aprile, l’evento “Licata in festa per il SI al referendum“. Oltre alla sensibilizzazione sul tema trivelle, l’evento ha lo scopo di valorizzare le risorse culturali e artistiche di Licata. A partire dalle ore 10:30 del 10 aprile e per tutta la giornata, attivisti, associazioni e cittadini incontreranno la popolazione in piazza Elena e nelle vie adiacenti con banchetti e attraverso dibatti. Nel corso della manifestazione si svolgeranno diverse iniziative artistiche e culturali. Il coordinamento referendario rifiuta la (falsa) ipotesi di sviluppo legata alle trivellazioni, ritenendole anzi un danno alle attività di cui già oggi la città vive, soprattutto la pesca. Le trivellazioni al largo della costa licatese sarebbero inoltre un danno al settore turistico che, per svilupparsi, ha bisogno di una strategia che punti alla valorizzazione delle vere ricchezze del territorio. La mattina saranno allestiti banchetti informativi e svolte attività con i bambini e sono inoltre previsti uno spettacolo ed un dibattito. Dalle 17 piazza Elena sarà animata con proiezioni, attività culturali, mostre ed esposizioni, al termine delle quali si terrà un concerto e a seguire musica con DJ-set.
