Diventerà ufficiale nelle prossime ore la notizia delle dimissioni (disposte dal Governatore Crocetta) del commissario straordinario Dario Cartabellotta. L’ormai ex commissario con ogni probabilità verrà mandato a dirigere uno dei Liberi consorzi di Comuni, gli organismi che hanno sostituito le province. E’ pertanto durata quindi poco più di tre mesi (era stato nominato il 21 agosto scorso) la permanenza del funzionario regionale alla guida della città. Raggiunto telefonicamente, Cartabellotta ha assicurato che “gli impegni che avevo preso per la città tenterò comunque di portarli avanti. Primo fra tutti quello relativo al Biocluster Mediterraneo per cui avevo previsto un ruolo importante per Licata e di cui sono il coordinatore regionale”. Adesso dovrà essere il presidente della Regione Rosario Crocetta a nominare un nuovo commissario che assuma la guida amministrativa della città da qui alla prossima tornata elettorale in programma in primavera in cui i licatesi saranno chiamati alle urne per eleggere il nuovo sindaco e il nuovo Consiglio comunale.
