L’associazione socio-culturale “Vivere Licata” lancia un’ambiziosa quanto incredibile sfida, dando il via al progetto “Ri-Vivere la Festa di Sant’Angelo”. Il progetto prevede la costruzione delle 4 copie identiche dei ceri ( dette n’Torci”, che accompagnavano il Santo patrono in processione e ormai fermi dal 1999 ), ma con un materiale più leggero. Per questo arduo ma non impossibile traguardo, l’associazione ha pensato di coinvolgere l’intero popolo licatese, promuovendo una raccolta fondi popolare. La cifra da raggiungere è di € 35.000,00. Potrebbe sembrare una grande cifra, specialmente in questo grave periodo di crisi generale ma a pensarci bene, basterebbe € 1,00 ciascuno per raggiungere questo grandissimo traguardo. I punti di raccolta ad oggi ufficiali sono i due centri commerciali “San Giorgio” e “Il Porto”, nei quali sono presenti le teche per la raccolta dei soldi, accompagnati dalla locandina del progetto. Stamattina alle ore 10:30, verrà presentato a tutti i giornalisti il progetto in Piazza Sant’Angelo, dando ufficialmente il via alla raccolta fondi.

Portare a termine questo ambizioso progetto è motivo di grande orgoglio per l’Associazione. Queste le aprole del presidente Ivan Marchese: “Siamo sicuri che insieme ripristineremo la festa di Sant’Angelo che tutti ci invidiano. Questo progetto può rappresentare per la nostra amata città una grande occasione di rilancio morale, civile e sociale”.
